We here at Xbox Family aren't going to jump on the belief train right away on this one. But rumors are popping up everywhere about a new “Slim” Xbox 360 being revealed by this Christmas and released next year. More details follow...
According to several games blogs, Microsoft’s execs have let slip it’ll get an official unveiling in December, although it won’t be available until the new year.
“MS execs here confirmed that the Xbox 360 Slim exists and you can expect an official announcement on the console in December,” the site says, attributing the comments to Microsoft India’s Retail Services Manager, Rahul Datta.
However, Microsoft has since retracted Datta’s comments, granted they did it without specifically denying the existence of a slim Xbox 360.
So what we have is a possibility that the Xbox 360 slim exists. We do know that historically, the console has reached it's point in time where typically a successful console would get a makeover.
