Publishers Scrambling For Ghost Busters Game

The new Ghost Busters game has graced the covers of international gaming magazines. It has the talent of all the original actors from the movies involved. And yet now the game has no publisher. ...
News broke late yesterday that the game was cancelled by Activision after the company had decided which games would actually make the leap from Sierra to Activision/Blizzard. Well it's true... kind of. Activision is not retaining the title and it has now been put on standby. It's actually available to be picked up by another publisher who's willing to fork over some cash to Activision. And yes, a publisher like Activision will hold a game till it dies rather than give it away to another company. That's just business.But there is some good news for fans of the Ghost Busters. Several small publishers are attempting to acquire the game and license this morning. This news comes from several insiders at publishers located in Virginia, Texas, and New York. So while it's still a toss up as to when we'll see the game or even who will publish it, we know there's enough interest in it to basically say "Don't Worry!".
