As XboxFamily reported first, and has become common knowledge by now, the 60gb HDD for the Xbox 360 was planned to push the 20gb out. Now retailers are dumping the stand alone 20gb HDDs for the 60gb drives too. Details follow:
If you don't have a hard drive for your Xbox 360, now is the time to pick up a 20gb HDD for only 30 bucks. The discounts are hitting Target stores everywhere, but will start popping up everywhere this week. Almost all of the Target Stores checked by our fact checkers nationwide are showing the price of the 20GB Hard Drive for the XBOX 360 $24.99 since last week. Check for the red tag and always make sure they have it in stock by calling them before making a trip there.
This clearance price is a great deal for anyone who just purchased an XBOX 360 Arcade and looking to expand the XBOX 360’s potential with a hard drive. Especially if you have GTA IV. You'll need the space to get that episodic content. But don't think you have to rush. These prices will be everywhere as XBF reported the 60gb stand-alone drives are on the way in October.
