All XF members (including staff and contributors) are eligible. Contests are open to all residents of the 50 United States, Canada and District of Columbia 18 years of age or older. If an entrant is not 18 and is chosen as a winner, the XF member must show proof of parent’s or guardian’s permission to receive awarded prize(s). Finally, to be eligible, you must be a registered XF member and user with a minimum of five posts in the XF forums to show user activity. Registration is free.

Registration to the XboxFamily.com site automatically registers you in all future contests. The probation period that was used in previous contests is now waved. XF contests usually begin on the first day of the month and end at 11:59 EST on the last day of the month. Void where prohibited by law.
Additional Rules: No purchase Necessary. Enter simply by registering for the XboxFamily.com site. Winners will be asked to provide their name, email address, address, contact preference, and be able to provide photo for the prize page. To be eligible for the prize drawing, all criteria must be met.
Limit one (1) entry (registration) per person and email address. Subsequent entries from the same individual or email address will be automatically disqualified. The use of automated devices to enter Xbox Family drawings is prohibited.
No responsibility is assumed by XboxFamily.com for lost, late, misdirected, or any computer or technical malfunctions that may occur. All images associated with prize winnings become the property of XboxFamily.com.
Winner Selection/Prizes: On or around the last day of the month, a select number of winners will be chosen in a random drawing from among all eligible members of XboxFamily.com. Prize drawing dates may vary from one competition to the next and will be clearly stated for each contest if it falls on a different schedule than the first and last day of the month rule. Random drawings will be conducted under the supervision of XboxFamily.com administration, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible members at the time of drawing.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Limit one prize per person, household or e-mail address. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are solely the responsibility of the winner.
General Conditions: Xbox Family members agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of Xbox Family which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to XF contests. These contests are governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winner(s) will be notified within seven (7) days after the drawing date. Winner(s) may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Non compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize/ prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Winners further grant to XboxFamily.com the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with the contests. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Xbox Family to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
